Project Weather Channel Media Kit
Format Responsive website
Role Information architecture, visual design, art direction.
Design Challenge The Weather Channel's media kit had multiple ad revenue streams to support with their website, both client commercials on their broadcast network and branded mobile experiences. The existing site imagery featured stock photos of people using technology in outdoor settings, which didn't support their cutting edge media buy options. The art direction was shifted to leverage the powerful fact that everyone engages with weather every day. This was the real strength of their brand making it such a watched channel across all demographics.

Project Exploratorium
Format Responsive websites
Role Visual design, art direction, information architecture.
Design Challenge To support an onsite event combining professional skaters and enthusiastic students, motion remained the focal point while redefining the site which explored the physics of skateboarding.
The mission was to expand the scope of science education hands-on activities from a limited teacher guided experience in the classroom to an enthusiastic parent at home on their iPad. This design groups activities into areas of the house where supplies could come from.
Feedback Loop
Project Level Money
Format Push notification, in-app message box and HTML page.
Role Visual design, art direction.
Design Challenge Level Money wanted to initiate a broader goal of providing feedback loops to users of their app through a simple first step: to give the users a 'high-five' if they went 7 days without overspending. To match Level’s design philosophy, the cognitive impact needed to be direct and at-a-glance.
Short v. Long Term
Project Level Money
Format Email campaign.
Role Visual design, art direction, front-end development.
Design Challenge Feedback to users is a theme many apps are engaging with, especially fitness and wellness apps. Level Money knew that users respond well to statements on their performance in other aspects such as energy consumption and weight loss, so why not their finances? The statements needed to be branded with Level Money's voice as well as support what data could be displayed given a limited development cycle.
